From the very moment we opened our doors, our wine shop and bar has been a choice destination for the locals of West Hampstead and beyond. It’s a pleasure for us to be part of the local community.
A wine journey like no other
Boasting wines from every corner of the world, priced between £10 and £350+, our collection has been meticulously handpicked with over 75 years of collective expertise within the wine sector. Many of these fabulous bottles come from vineyards we've personally visited, and a number are exclusive gems typically found only in Michelin-starred establishments. Whatever your vinous inclinations, do pop in for a chat and advice. We’ve also got wines available for tasting if you’re looking to discover something new.
Not just a wine shop
Whilst our wine bar showcases a vast array of wines available by the glass or bottle, you’re also most welcome to pick any bottle off our shelves, or from our fridges, for a £10 corkage fee. For those looking to mix things up a bit, we've got a selection of craft spirits and beers. Complement your experience with our artisanal cheese and charcuterie boards, or perhaps a selection of dips and nibbles.
Pop by or plan ahead
Enjoy the buzz of the shop indoors or take in the alfresco vibes outdoors. We do recommend booking ahead, but if you fancy a spur-of-the-moment visit, just turn up and we’ll do our utmost to accommodate. Celebrating something special? From birthday dos to corporate events, we’re well-versed in hosting. We can also craft bespoke tasting events tailored to your needs.

World Champion medallist and Olympian rower! Kayla might be a long way from her native New Zealand, but she brings with her a great knowledge and enthusiasm for wines from her home country, and has been enjoying building up her knowledge of the rest of the world here at Tannin & Oak.

…has known Avie for over 25 years and has collaborated with him on countless projects. Has travelled the world, tasting, sourcing, and blending wines for over 30 years. He is now helping curate the wine range and ramp up the marketing. When tasting is over he can be found chilling with his dog Bruno, watching French movies.
