Now available! Plus – join us for in-store tastings this weekend (through to Sunday 23rd November) Every year on the third Thursday in November, wine lovers around the world raise their glasses in unison — it’s Beaujolais Nouveau Day, the global celebration of youth, harvest, and shared joy. With the arrival of the 2025 vintage, Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau captures that moment in a bottle: bright, energetic, and brimming with fruit. Bottled just weeks after harvest, this wine is made to be uncorked and enjoyed now, not aged. It embodies the festive spirit of the day — fresh, spirited, and perfect for gathering friends. About the 2025 harvest The 2025 vintage is generous in fruit profile but marked by low yields, down by as much as a third in some vineyards. Early summer rains affected flowering and berry formation, while the rest of the summer was largely dry and warm. A couple of timely storms in late August helped complete ripening, ensuring balance and freshness in the grapes. As a result, the 2025 Beaujolais Nouveau is ripe, elegant, and fruit-forward, comparable in quality to the highly regarded 2020 and 2023 vintages. Georges Duboeuf himself describes it as “a lovely Beaujolais, packed with fruit” — a wine that fully expresses the charm of Gamay.

Rooted in Change: The Stories Behind Sustainable Wine by Jane Masters MW & Andrew Neather Special price: £17.99 (RRP £19.99) An ideal Christmas present for the discerning wine enthusiast! Here's what people are saying about Rooted in Change: The Stories Behind Sustainable Wine: "If you make wine - or simply drink it - read ‘Rooted in Change: The Stories Behind Sustainable Wine’. Jane Masters MW and Andrew Neather calmly analyse how climate change is impacting the wine world, before spotlighting practical ideas on how to tackle it. Harvesting real life anecdotes from across the globe, they macerate them to extract best practice, ferment the pros and cons (spoiler alert: sometimes there is no perfect solution) and barrel through the successful achievements of others, before decanting inspirational ideas for the vineyard, winery, supply chain and society. I defy any winemaker not to learn something. I certainly did. Even a casual wine drinker will now know what to ask, and next time they choose a bottle of wine."– Wendy Outhwaite (wonderfully talented winemaker) "Jane Masters (a wine buyer) and Andrew Neather (formerly wine columnist and journalist on the Evening Standard) hardly knew each other when they embarked on this book project, but they’ve pulled it off brilliantly. It’s a breezy trawl through the varied issues relating to sustainability in wine, with the authors taking the stance of neutral observer rather than advocates. As a result, this is readable and informative. As you might expect when a professional journalist is involved, there are lots of quotes and concrete examples of the issues being discussed. And it’s bang up to date."
