Background
9th generation winemakers, owned by Jean-Jacques Bardin and his wife Monique along with their children.
Their vineyard is managed according to the HVE "High Environmental Value" approach, the drastic limitation of pesticides, the use of organic farming products, hoeing, the preservation of the natural vegetation, all contributes to the quality of the soils and, consequently, of the vine and its fruits.
The vines for this particular wine are from Silex soil in the communes of Saint-Satur, Sancerre, Thauvenay et Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre.
Tasting notes
Typical green grass and gooseberry aromas, with a “gun-flint” minerality running through. A wine with verve, finesse and vigour that won’t disappoint.
Winemaking
Vinified in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with extended lees contact for 3-4 months before racking, with bottling being done 6 months later.
Food pairings
Seafood, fish, charcuterie, and of course goat's cheese.
