Background
The undisputed King of the Madiran Appellation in South-West France, and recognised as one of the most iconic winemakers in the world.
Madiran had nearly disappeared off the viticultural map when Alain Brumont took over the family estate, Chateau Bouscassé in 1980. He bought Chateau Montus, then in ruins, a year later.
His passion, meticulous eye for detail, innovation and strive for quality have done more than regain the reputation, you can find his wines in fine dining restaurants around the globe.
