Background

On a plateau overlooking the Loire river, Château de Villeneuve is a magnificent eighteenth century mansion. Built in stone which the nobility of the terroir of the region: the tufa. The 25 acres surrounding the property of the Chevallier family creates complex wines marked by a great personality.

Tasting notes

Lovely nose of vibrant white flowers, with mouthwatering 'attack' and a grapefruit finish.

Winemaking

The Saumur Blanc is 30% barrel fermented. The rest in Vats.

Briny Oysters, Seared sea scallops, citrus fish dishes.
