Background
Givry Blanc Teppe des Chenèves 0.75 ares of wonderfully sited 5 year old vines, at 400 metres, facing south-east on very pure limestone soils.
Tasting notes
Bright peaches, citrus fruit, beautiful minerality from the pure limestone soils and a slightly creamy rich mouthfeel.
Winemaking
All the grapes are handpicked and there is a further, severe selection prior to vinification. The whites, which are all barrel fermented, are simply stunning and amongst the finest in the Chalonnaise.
Food pairings
Fish and Poultry in a creamy or butter sauce. Mild and creamy cheeses including Brie and soft goats cheese.
