Background
Older vines make bolder Zinfandels, and this one is no exception. The main sources of this Zinfandel, the Bruell and Fathom Vineyards, are home to vines over 40 years old.
Tasting notes
Brick red and deep purple in the glass, a bit of sweetness with a structured palate. Fruity at first, vanilla cream mid with bit a with chocolate cacao with a bit of oak to finish. Delicious, bright and fruit forward with many deep fruit characteristics standing out such as plum, cherry and boysenberry.
Winemaking
Traditional vinification with focus on producing full-on bold fruit flavours and voluptuous mouthfeel.
Food pairings
A great match for a wide selection of red meat dishes, including steak and venison.
