Background

Renowned winemaker Nicolas Potel (son of Pousse d'Or's Gerard Potel) heads up a number of successful wine making ventures in the Cote d'Or including his own Domaine de Bellene, his negociant business Maison Roche de Bellene, and a more recent specially curated collection of finished wines, which are a part of his "Collection Bellenum."The maison sources the grapes used for Clos Vougeot from a small parcel of 100-year-old vines at the top of the Grand Cru, where it meets Échezeaux and Grands-Échezeaux.

Tasting notes

With time in the glass, notes of red berries and dark chocolate reveal themselves. Beautifully balanced on the fruit and a touch of pepper on the finish along with well integrated tannins make this a truly delightful drink.
