Background
Older vines make bolder Zins, and this one is no exception. The main sources of this Zinfandel, the Bruell and Fathom Vineyards, are home to vines over 40 years old.
Tasting notes
Very deep purple red; wide and complex to the nose, with notes of spices, soft fruit and cherry jam. A full-bodied wine, soft and balanced, rich in fine tannins, with a pleasant long lasting finish.
Winemaking
Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and then in French and Caucasian.
Food pairings
A great match with savoury first courses, red meats, game and aged cheese.
