Background

From leading producer Cavit, this wine gets its name from the selected hillside vineyards known locally as the “terraces of the moon”. The small addition of Chardonnay to the blend adds more richness.

Tasting notes

Stone fruit, apple and floral nose. The palate shows delicate yet complex floral notes, a rounded mineral character and an attractive green apple leading to fresh lemon acidity on the finish.

Winemaking

The grapes are sourced from the best vineyard sites of Valle dell'Adige (where the soils are ventilated and well-drained). Vinification involves pneumatic pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks controlled at 20 degrees.

On its own or with fish and vegetarian dishes.
